How to run this session

Stages and timing

  1. Build a fully filled piece
  2. Seven figures
  3. Arrange the square
  4. Cat, sailboat and your own picture

What gets built

Build a puzzle that can form many different pictures.

What it practises

  • Making the outline and full coverage.
  • Moving and rotating the pieces during play.

Success criteria

  • Exactly 7 separate, flat and cool pieces: L1, L2, M1, S1, S2, Q1 and P1.
  • No holes in the fill and no separating strands; an outline alone is not a finished piece.
  • All 7 pieces fit in the 90 × 90 mm square pattern without overlapping or being forced. The working clearance comes from the actual line width.
  • The cat and sailboat each use the same 7 pieces once; they can be taken apart again.
