What gets built
Independently make a three-dimensional tabletop PLA sunflower and give it a personal arrangement of colours and leaves.
What it practises
- Building a frame and covering on physical supports
- Welding cold PLA parts and checking dimensions
- Planning a personal colour and leaf composition
Success criteria
- The pot has a flat Ø70 mm floor, 45 mm height, eight walls and actual internal trusses.
- The stem has two welded support points at 24 and 44 mm, and the centre has a 15 mm rear contact.
- The sunflower has exactly 16 separate petals and two leaves, a fully covered centre and a personal colour arrangement.
- The fully cool model stands on a flat worktop without rocking, has continuous welds and no sharp ends; the participant performs this check.
