How to run this session

Stages and timing

  1. Fish outline
  2. Head and eye
  3. Draw the scales
  4. Fill one scale
  5. Your colors and pattern

What gets built

Repeat short arcs and fill the scales with adjoining PLA strands. Choose your own colors and their rhythm on one connected fish.

What it practises

  • Drawing connected rows of arcs.
  • Filling areas with short strands joined side-to-side and to the edge.
  • Choosing colors and a repeating pattern independently.

Success criteria

  • The head, eye, and colorful scales are visible. Show your color rhythm; all the areas connect to the fish.
  • The filled areas form one flat piece; there are no loose scales or separate eye.
  • The fish outline, fins, tail, and dimensions match W01.
