How to run this session

  2. Start the seat
  3. Finish the seat
  4. Make the backrest
  5. Join the seat to the first side
  6. Position the second side and align the legs
  7. Position and attach the backrest
  8. Check and use the chair

What gets built

Build a clearly recognisable miniature piece of furniture from simple components.

What it practises

  • Building infill from joined PLA strands
  • Positioning and joining cool parts in space
  • Choosing colours and a pattern to suit your own idea

Success criteria

  • All four legs rest on one flat tabletop.
  • The seat is level, and the backrest is upright and does not detach when the cool part is touched lightly.
  • The infills are consistent; the chair has a role in an imaginary scene.
